Colorado Parks and Wildlife continues to track and publish documented gray wolf depredations. As of May 25, 2024, that number for live stock and working dogs stands at 28. It does not count live stock or working dogs they were unable to confirm as wolf harvests. It also does not track (in any fashion) countless does/fawns and elk cows/calves that have been killed. We’re looking at a really small sample, 10 released wolves and a 6 month timeframe. Is this really what the voter’s in Colorado were expecting?
