Projected uncontrolled wolf population

Estimated numbers of wolves in Colorado starting with 50 wolves following an introduction in 2023.
The graph assumes the population begins with 50 wolves from natural immigration and introduction
followed by uncontrolled population growth resulting in about 1,000 wolves in 10 years, 2,000 wolves in 20 years and 3,000 wolves in 30 years.
Population growth rate was calculated according to the equation for the line of population growth in Montana prior to  hunting and trapping (y = 96x – 266)
